Ford Battery Plant Layoffs: Workers Blame Corporate Greed Over Trump EV Subsidy Cuts

A hyper-realistic, gritty, desaturated image of a shuttered factory gate with a Ford logo, chain link fence in the foreground, gray overcast sky, a single discarded worker's hard hat on the wet asphalt, cynical atmosphere.

Here is a story that proves everything is broken. It is a perfect example of why I drink, and frankly, it is ranking terrible for logic. We are talking about the recent **Ford battery plant closure** that resulted in 1,600 people losing their livelihoods. That part is sad, sure. But the rest of it? The rest of it is a joke.

So, here is the news. Ford Motor Company shut down a massive facility. Just like that. They turned off the lights and executed **Kentucky EV factory layoffs** that sent 1,600 people home with nothing but a cardboard box and a handshake. It is a bad day for them.

But listen to who they are mad at. They are mad at Ford. They are pinning the blame on the company. They say Ford gave up on them. They are screaming at the big corporate logo on the building. And that is where it gets funny in a really dark, low-click-through-rate kind of way. Because these workers are missing the point completely. They are looking at the puppet and ignoring the person pulling the strings.

Why did Ford close the plant? Did they just wake up one day and decide they hate money? No. Companies love money. They closed the plant because the **electric vehicle manufacturing subsidies** dried up. The government used to give out huge checks to help make electric cars. That was the deal. The government said, "Build batteries, and we will pay you." So Ford said, "Okay, we like free money."

Then things changed. President Trump and his friends in the Republican party took an axe to those government checks. They gutted the support for **Trump EV policies** and green energy. They cut the wire. The free cash is gone.

So what did Ford do? They did exactly what a business does. They looked at the math. The math said they would lose money without the government help. So they quit. It is not personal. It is just math.

But the workers? They don't blame Trump. They don't blame the Republicans who actually cut the funding. No, that would make too much sense. Instead, they blame the car company for not wanting to lose millions of dollars.

This is why nothing ever gets fixed in this country. People cannot see two feet in front of their faces. They vote for politicians who hate electric cars. Then they get **blue-collar jobs** making electric cars. Then the politicians kill the funding for electric cars. Then the jobs go away. And then the workers get mad at the factory owner.

It makes my head hurt.

Let’s talk about Ford for a second. Do not feel bad for Ford. They are not victims here. But they are not the villain you think they are. They are just a machine. A corporation is like a shark. A shark swims and eats. That is all it does. If you put blood in the water, the shark comes. If you take the blood away, the shark leaves. You cannot be mad at the shark for being a shark. Ford went where the government cash was. When the cash moved, Ford moved.

Expecting a giant company to keep a factory open out of the kindness of its heart is stupid. It is like expecting a snake not to bite you. They do not have hearts. They have calculators.

And let’s talk about the politicians. The Left pretends they are saving the world with electric cars. It is all a show. They throw money at companies to make themselves look green and virtuous. It is a performance.

The Right pretends they are saving you from the tyranny of... I don’t know, batteries? They cut the funding to score points. They want to look tough. They want to "own the libs." They do not care if 1,600 people lose their jobs in the process. To them, those jobs are just collateral damage in a culture war.

So here we are. The Left creates a bubble with tax money. The Right pops the bubble to be mean. The corporation takes the money and runs. And the worker? The worker is the one standing in the parking lot holding a pink slip.

And the worst part is the loyalty. These workers are loyal to the very people hurting them. They will probably go out and vote for the same people who cut the funding that paid their wages. They will wear the hats and wave the flags. They will cheer for the people who made sure their factory had to close.

It is hopeless. Truly. It is a cycle of stupidity that never ends. The politicians are grifters. The companies are soulless eating machines. And the people? The people are so confused they yell at the wrong building.

1,600 jobs gone. Not because of the market. Not because people stopped buying cars. But because of a political game played by rich people in suits. And the people who lost the game do not even know the rules.

Ford is not your friend. Trump is not your friend. None of them care if you can pay your rent next month. They only care about the game. And right now, the game says you lose.

So go ahead. Blame Ford. Scream at the gates. It won't change anything. The money is gone, and the circus has moved on to the next town. You are just left cleaning up the mess.
